Kaufman Construction's top priority is satisfying customers. We want the entire building or remodeling experience to be a positive one and that is why we do a fixed bid. We feel this guarantees that both parties know exactly what to expect. The following is a brief outline of the fixed bid proess.

1. Initial Consultation This visit will be with a Kaufman Construction representative and will include discussion of the project, design ideas and rough dimensions.
   
2. Preliminary Estimate This estimate includes rough drawings with floor plans and elevations along with a rough price/estimate based on regional average prices. If accepted by the client, a deposit is required at this time.
   
3. Budget Estimate This estimate includes a finished floor plan, elevations and a refined price estimate. There will be a fixed bid for the frame and mechanicals and allowances for fixtures, interior/exterior trim and finishes.
   
4. Fixed Price Proposal This proposal includes the finished drawings. This also includes the floor plans, elevations, trim details, and construction details. Also included are the final product selections and the final fixed price. When the customer accepts this proposal, construction can begin.
